Frequently Asked Questions

What is a cold-pressed juice or tonic?

We use a hydraulic press that uses thousands of pounds of pressure to extract the juice while preserving the vitamins, minerals, and nutrients with minimal oxidation. There is no heat or centrifugal blade. Both cause oxidation, and blades break down the cell walls of fruits and vegetables, promoting quicker spoilage. By cold-pressing, we create the cleanest and freshest tasting juices and tonics, preserving the maximum nutritional value.

Why is cold-pressed better?

The closer a food is to its natural state, the better it is for you, and the easier it is for your body to digest. Centrifugal juicers operate with a fast spinning metal blade that generates heat, causing oxidation. Oxidation causes important enzymes to break down and vital minerals and vitamins are lost; yielding a less nutritious juice. Furthermore, with centrifugal juicers, one has to drink the juice immediately. Cold-pressed is superior because the juice is extracted with pressure, maintaining the nutrient value so drinks can be bottled and enjoyed later.

What is HPP?

HPP, or High Pressure Pasteurization is a form of pasteurization that uses pressure to reduce the microbial properties in the juice; therefore changing the nutritional value and extending the shelf life. Essential vitamins, minerals, and nutrients are lost during the pasteurization process. Any time the shelf life is altered/extended, the nutritional value of the juice or tonic is reduced.

Why don’t we use HPP or any other pasteurization process?

All juices and tonics are NOT the same!

We are passionate about juicing and the benefits associated with organic, raw, fresh fruits and vegetables. We want our clients to experience superior taste and achieve awesome health outcomes from our product line. Our juices and tonics are packed with all natural organic nutrients! Raw, unpasteurized juices or tonics, by law, CANNOT be sold wholesale or resold by another company for future sale. If your bottled juice was purchased at a supermarket or coffee giant, your juice or tonic is NOT FRESH OR RAW. It is intact, pasteurized!

What is the shelf life of juices and tonics?

Juices last 7 days and tonics last 20 days. Expiration dates are listed on all bottles so you know exactly when your product expires.

What is a TONIC?

Tonics are a combination of organic cold-pressed vegetables, whole fruits, high-nutrient green superfoods, and other spices with detoxifying beneficial agents and herbal infusions. We use herbs that target a multitude of symptoms aimed at increasing overall vitality and longevity.

How many calories are in a bottle?

Ugh, calorie counting is so last century! Our motto is to eat as much organic, natural, raw foods as one desires. But, we aspire to accommodate the needs of our clients and understand that calories are an important part of certain diets.
Our products range from about 100-200 calories given the ingredients. Green juices and tonics are at the lower end of that scale while the coconut meat blends are at the higher end of the scale.
